I’ve been listening to Leonard Cohen, a lot recently. I’d always been a fan of 'Suzanne' but thanks to Deezer, I’ve discovered a lot more of his music. I love the way he uses words and of course, the way he plays the guitar. I hope that his life hasn’t been as sad as some of his songs are. Checking on Wikipedia I see that he is Canadian which explains the French lyrics and words in some of his songs.
Some of the songs made me remember the poems of Edgar Allan Poe. I once wrote a poem about Edgar Allan Poe arriving in heaven only to meet all of the dead ladies he mourned in his poems – not much of a heaven in fact. I can’t find it anywhere, so you won’t be able to read it.
Anyway I really like this version of 'Lover, Lover, Lover', sorry there is no 'action'. I love the guitar and the beginning and the rhythm. I did find the older versions but they are too fast for my liking. Perhaps as we get older we learn to take our time and savour things?

Hi Anji, I've long enjoyed your comments on Dru's and Chandira's blogs. This is the one Cohen CD I own, and it's a goodie. As it was recorded live (in London and Brighton, in 1979), Cohen graciously acknowledges the work of John Bilezikjian on oud and mandolin.
Otherwise, for decades I knew Cohen mostly for "Suzanne", mostly in the Judy Collins version. Now I'm listening to it again, as sung by Tamarind Free Jones on her blissfull CD, Sounds Alone, my favorite version ever.

Hi Anji, gave you a wave on way down and on way back, you seem to have a charmed corner, cloud free every time I pass that way. I was listening to a new download of Leonard Cohen in London from concerts last year, he really seems to come alive on stage. I had tried to get tickets the moment they went on sale only to find a notice saying not yet, later that day all gone but if you had double the price...
More people appreciate him than let on.
Tried everywhere, even got into Metro commercial supplier in Perpignan but no spuds, rats! so best I could do was Rattes! Will come over in May next year to make sure of success.
