BlogExplosion: Time for action

A letter has been composed for everyone to send out to the company that owns Blogexplosion on 20th February, you can copy the letter from here.

Or you might prefer to go here for more instructions and access to a rich text format of the letter. I think anyone outside the US would probably like to send their letters a little earlier. The addresses are supplied. Just pick who you would like to address your letter to.

There is no reason why you shouldn’t compose your own letter if you want to. Please be polite. A lot of effort has gone into this project by people who care about the blogging community. If you belong to BlogExplosion, please help.

And yes, you will be seeing this post on all of my blogs

Thanks to thewatchlist, MJTaylor Spicybugz, bokonon, kelson, SelinaKimsey, sightlydrunk, bluegrassBloggo, McSpazz, lando411 and others I have surely missed for keeping the forums looking like forums. A special thanks to thewatchlist and MJTaylor who have put in all of the work for the letter.

This is a good idea. Blog Explosion needs to wake up!

Who is Blogexplosion, and why is this important?

Or is it one of those "if you don't know, you don't need to know" things?

Curiously

Donna: BlogExplosion was the first traffic exchange. It was excellent and had a good sense of community. However, it got sold on and sold on again and the present owners are just letting it run without any care and attention; I managed to volunteer to approve blogs before things went really bad. The forums became full of spam and anything that broke, didn't get fixed. We're organising as many members as we can to send letters to the owners. Hopefully they will realise the value of BlogExplosion and take care of it again, or at least sell it to someone who will.

DoNaniamo: It certainly does, can you help? please!

Carolyn Ann: See the first reply. Hopefully if we pull it off, we'll start attracting new members - like you!

I know him, I've got a video of his playing the saw (and other instruments) in fact. Small world really isn't it.

Nancyrowina: it is, reminds me I must send an email.... I didn't know he played the saw as well!

That sample letter has a lot of grammatical errors in it.

John: If there were errors I'm ashamed to say I didn't notice them. I think that most people who
sent the letter probably altered it anyway. Thank you for taking the time to read it
